Fitness App

Overview

The health and fitness app industry is highly fragmented and one of our client had demanded for a fitness application for both Android and iOS.

The motive behind the App is to help people pursue their fitness goals regardless of body types, and provide access to gym equipments. Many workout videos/tutorials are available on different social media platforms. But the main intention of this app is to provide one-stop solution for all fitness essentials at single platform. Users can get access to various videos, guides and can choose, mark as favourite, and try out / do the same.

• User can login or sign up (registration with Social Media) and create/manage profile
• User can Schedule the Training and workout process.
• Able to track all activities like walking running,cycling etc.
• Managing Calorie counter and diet tracking service with apps for iOS, Android,Syncs data in all apps and web service.
• Set the goal for fitness or anything else like drinking water, going to bed before midnight etc.
• It also notify the directions: Get lean, Get Toned, Get strong and Get Focused

Challenges

It was challenging task to manage events on STEP DETECTOR and sensor triggers activities. Many back and forth situation were faced in developing and testing phase.We have used TYPE_STEP_DETECTOR, TYPE_STEP_COUNTER and Sensor.TYPE_ACCELEROMETER.

Approach

We identified the best SDLC process model (Agile). After finalising the flow we started working on design and later on shifted our focus on the development stages integrating frameworks like Step Detector,and Step Counters. We also defined the formulas for user’s daily tracking activity which included to result. We very well managed instant push notifications. More precisely, we managed and kept a track at the front end activity as well.

Deliverable

We delivered it with clean and simple UI which looks good and engaging with appropriate data we tested. We also built a progress timeline as per Clients requirement
